*take an Ed spaz about him being short, shoot it up a couple of octaves, make it about 10 times longer and have the words be "so cute" "great job" "love" and a lot of other indistinguishable fangirl jarble language and you have my reaction*

Well, thought I'd post my comments here, too.

This is a wonderful picture! I always loved the original, and I like that you've moved the two closer together. You've made the characters' repositions look really natural, as though that was how the original picture was actually made. I also like how there's an overall sepia-colored tone to it, and the simple background and fingerprint smudges give the picture a photograph kind of feel. (Did that make sense?)

Seeing this picture helped me come to terms with the ending of the movie - even through all that's happened, Ed and Al still have each other and will succeed.

By the way, has anyone noticed that the title of the book in Ed's hand is "Frankenstein"? Hah! How appropriate...

Oh man, I know what you mean. The end of the movie KILLED me T___T!! Especially the way that Edward was upset, but not THAT upset after Heiderich passed on. That bugged the hell out of me after the movie was over. When I saw that picture I was like- damn it! Move closer you to >O!! So I shoved them right up against eachother. It seemed obvious to me ( at least in the english dub ) that Ed and Heiderich had a very deep friendship, and I wish that the movie had touched on their relationship more.

It really really bothered me that Edward wasn't very upset over Heiderich's passing on. I mean, he lives with the boy for two years, and the poor boy sacrifices himself for Edward, and all he does is gasp. -____-;;;

But, anyway, I agree with you, I think they did have a close friendship. ^^ I wish they would come out with... a prequel of sorts. One that tells about how Edward and Heiderich met, and how they grew to trust each other. (As well as how Al was with Winry, and Roy, and all of that)

I mean, don't get me wrong, I was very happy that the Elrics got reunited, but-GEEZ! Heiderich is dead right behind you and all you can do it smile at the camera because your brother's back T__T;;?

I agree! I really wish they gave a little more backstory on how Ed and Heiderich became friends other then 'Um..yeah, they both liked rockets...and um..yeah.'.. You know?
It's obvious they have a meaningful friendship and, like you said, they HAD been living together for 2 years, but none of that gets shown very thuroughly in Conqueor of Shamballa.
