HELLO DA!!!

So okay, today I'm driving around in my home town of good ol' Mount Kisco when....
I NEARLY HIT A FAMILY WALKING ACROSS THE STREET YAY 8D !!!

Let me explain...

Alright. Because I was superbly lame all summer and most of my senior year I JUST started learning how to drive last week.

Today was my second session with my driving teacher.

So, he's a pretty crazy dude and decides that I'm experienced enough to drive from my house in North Salem to Mount Kisco ( a 15 minute drive, mostly highway ) and then proceed to drive around Kisco for a hour in traffic after only sitting in a car once before in my entire life.

So, yeah. I do it because I have to and by the end of the first hour driving I'm a nervous wreck.
So, I'm all tense and taking a back road out of Kisco that I'm not familiar with when I see a cross walk ahead and a family standing to the right of it.

I slow my car down to a stop to let them pass.

...I wait.

....They don't move.

...I wait more.

...They MAKE EYE CONTACT WITH ME, acknowledge I'm there and continue to stand still.

My teacher says, "hit the gas" so I start to drive ( kind of fast cuz I'm still learning how to ease on the excellerator ) when all of a sudden the entire family fucking RUNS IN FRONT OF MY CAR.

I'M NOT KIDDING. IT'S GOING TO SOUND LIKE I'M BULLSHITTING, BUT I'M COMPLETELY SERIOUS. FUCKING RAN IN FRONT OF MY CAR.

So I screech to a stop about a foot in front of a twelve year old boy and they all fucking STOP AND LOOK AT ME WITH THESE HORRIFIED EXPRESSIONS.

I nearly pissed myself.
It was horrible.

My driving teacher like, completely swore them out though so that made me feel better, kind of. KIND OF.

Geezus.
Is this normal behavior of pedestrians?
Not that I can really talk.
I've ran in front of my fair share of cars.

Uugh,though. Uugh.
