Heyhey DA ( that rhymed omg )
So i just transferred out of SUNY Plattsburgh and into Brooklyn College.
Got the acceptance letter a few days ago- I'll be majoring in creative writing and minoring in fine art. WHOOOOOOO
Lindy and i are shacking up in a city apartment together, finding musicians and finally getting our band OFF THE FUCKING GROUND, WHAT WHAAAAT
Snakes Like Converse has come
so far in the past year and a half- it's hard to believe that we haven't even been around for two years yet.
We started this baby band when we were both 17 and I'm just so unbelievably proud of everything we've done ♥.
I don't remember if I mentioned this here or not, but Patrick Stump of
Fall Out Boy told me he liked my singing voice! Pretty cool, yaah?
I met him twice during FOB's latest tour and he grabbed me during the second M&G and said, "Hey- nice voice, by the way!"
I can't believe he actually checked out Snakes Like Converse's myspace! He's such an amazingly sweet person and my vocal
idol. Hearing that kind of compliment from him kind of blew my mind. Especially because he didn't need to say anything to me at all- I didn't even give him a demo or anything. My friend mentioned my band's name to him once, about two weeks prior to him complimenting me. Not only did he remember 'Snakes Like Converse' but he searched for/found our myspace online, listened to us, remembered what I looked like and made a point of telling me that he liked what I was doing musically!
So yeah, heh, life's sweet!
I'm going into Brooklyn this Saturday to look at some apartments, my heart is screaming, "THIS IS RIGHT! THIS IS WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO!"
My life is finally
begininng and I'm so happy.
Anyway, yeah, I just started working at my local Dunkin Donuts. The hours are long, but the pay is sweet. I pretty much hate the general public now, though.
EHHHHHHH YARG. it's alright because my friends and I are planning an EPIC 9 day road trip at the beginning of August that I need to save up for!

Oh yeah! I met all four of the guys twice! Joe is a sweetheart, but Patrick takes the cake for pretty much being the coolest guy in existence~
He is a producer as well! I never thought of that before! Wow, I'm flattered all over again, hah!
When Patrick said that to me, my brain kind of short circuited and I awesomely responded with, "You too...obviously..." Then I proceeded to fling myself away from him and flip over a table in front of everybody, hehhh...XD
Yes! The more art, the better! SLC is working on some new material now, actually, so keep your ears peeled!
